Ashtray mod - Pics included

I needed a place to store my switches for my lighting, which I will post pics and videos of later. Untill then, this is where I have decided to put the switches. It's a bit of a rough job, but I didn't have very many sophisticated tools at my disposal.

Yes, it's the same carbon effect material as the dash. Like I said, I know it looks a little shoddy, but it works damn well. The switches are even backlit.

The switch modification, is sutble, very nicely done and in keeping with the car. I fear what they control will not be!!

Did you carbon fibre the entiire dash yourself or is it stock Sports trim? Kinda looks too good to be the stock faux (read fake) carbon fibre sports trim.

Nice mod BTW, like the others I am intrigued as to what the extra lighting is.

Mine is an Esprit, so the Carbon effect trim came as standard. I just bought a big bit of the same trim and shaped it myself.

The extra lighting is actually two sets of extra lighting, hence two switches. When I get a hold of my mates digital camera, I'll take pictures and videos of the lighting in action. Promise.

Just a thought on this,seeing as your not using the ciggie lighter why not put a 12v power supply in like R2D2 did with the rear of his centre console?
