asking w212 owners with autos to look at their drivers mat

As above, could you please check you mat and tell me if there is a bit that protects the drivers foot rest on auto models?

Mine doesn't (although 211 did) and having asked the dealer about this they said that mercedes do not produce mats that are for RHD autos with foot rest protectors - only the LHD models...
They have even asked MB technical apparantly....

I spend most of every journey with my left foot on the drivers restplate and can see the carpet being worn eventually....

I have a Sport version which comes with mats that do not cover the foot rest although in all the brochure pics the foot rest seems to have black rubber stud on a metal plate as do the pedals?!

It might be worth mentioning that not all genuine mats for the 202 had the foot rest protector, i have bought AMG mats and standard mats from MB and they had the protector, yet the ones that came from my AMG from the factory did,nt, and i have seen the same mats fitted in other C43's too.
Were your mats in the car from new? You could ask if there are any floor mats in the accessory catalogue as in the case of the 202 they could have them, as both my accessory bought sets of mats had the protector, but the factory ones did,nt.
