Morning Guys,

Can anyone confirm if this is the box the car has and ATF i should be using?

722.9 autobox?

using ATF 3353?

Billy if its 7 speed it will be 722.9. If its 5 speed it will be 722.6.

its 7g...

..well im pretty sure it is, how ever strangely the tip only goes up to 6?!

so im confused why it would be 7g?

any way how many of those little bottles would i typically need?

Is it the V6 or IL6?

If it's V6 it will be 7 speed, IL6 is 5 speed.

Fuchs Titan ATF 4134 for Mercedes - meets MB 236.14

or wobble off to dealer. Also worth noting that

"Other ATFs meeting this specification are the Mobil ATF 134 and Shell ATF134, but Fuchs TITAN ATF 4134 is factory filled in the latest generation of Mercedes Benz (NAG 2) 7-speed automatic gearboxes (Model designation 722.9),"

6 then D.

If you have C,S M on the gearbox you should be able to see 7 when in M.

If no M, at a reasonable cruising speed, tip it from D to 6 and the revs will rise, again indicating that D is a higher gear (7).

Back to D and revs drop - the same logic.

Thank you for that mate,

I only have the C, S option.

My normal driving mode is in the auto mode 90% of the time. However ive noticed when in D mode, if i feel the revs are higher than it should be at low speed i tip it to the right and the revs drop slightly in harmony but its still in auto mode and the gear indicator on the dash is still on D and not showing the tip gear numbers.

has anyone tried this? im assuming this is normal
