Massive pocket of wealth, I work in London but live in Lincs
I gave up company cars a few years back, mine was a private purchase and intend to keep for at least 5 years (ok, at least 3 )

A colleague who used to have a car in a previous job pretty much says the same.

I always thought that once you have taken the finance, running costs (inc fuel) into account that even with heavy handed company car tax you must still be saving a fortune, but I will admit to not having any knowledge in this area.

FWIW, I have winter tyres on mine (on the standard alloys), and driving in the thick snow is about the same as a wet road.

(and I'm feeling a bit left out - do I qualify by living in Elsham for a bit, working at Humberside airport for a while, and now married to a Scunny honey...)

Avon Ice Touring ST, and strangely they are slightly quieter and slightly more comfortable that the standard Conti summer tyres too.

HaHa! I have a hidef camcorder I can use but wouldnt want to be stood on the bridge filming whilst my car was sat all the way down there in the car park

Damon's sounds good, believe it or not I dont think I have ever been there (not that I can remember anyway).
With Lincoln Mercedes being only down the road maybe we could arrange for the to loan us 2 new E Class Convertible's when theyre out
