audio jack in glove box

Hi guys I was told that I should have an audio jack in my glovebox but I cant see it anywhere is it covered? If I do find it does it mean I can conect my phone and play my music off my ohone through the audio 20 radio? Thanks in advance

Mine is in the centre at the front, can't remember if it's top or bottom. Just a 3.5mm socket so not impossible to miss.

Some phones are very quiet when played via this source.

There is no capability for info to be displayed through the dash or stereo unit.

Hi,

It's on the left in my glove box. It's not hidden. It's got a black plastic surround and a silver jack female connection.

Yes, if you've got it you can either plug a male to male 3.5mm jack into your headphone output into that, then switch from disc to aux in the menu, or get a Bluetooth receiver which converts to analogue to connect to it for wireless streaming, but the volume will be very low. I've got a little headphone valve amp on mine to get around the problem.

Just had a real good look in my glovebox but can see a jack for the love of me! Perhaps mine doesnt have this feature? My car is 08/06 model if that helps?

Mine is 57 plate. I've only got the Audio 20, so it's nothing fancy!

It's here on mine, (not my picture).

If you've definitely not got it, then I don't know if it can be retrofitted, or if you'd have to go to command guys and have some big upgrade done...

If it's not fitted, I would seriously consider the iPod module because that gives control via steering wheel and info on dash……….speak to Alfie @ Comand.co.uk

EDIT: And much better sound as well…………..don't know if it can be added to Audio 20 but there are other options such as the Denison Gateway.

Don't know if your E class aux is the same as mine on a 2004 model, but here is a pic of mine. To be found centre top front of glovebox.

Thanks for all your help guys yep confirmed I dont have one I can see the mould for where it would be but no jack point or hole
