Auto window opening W211

Hi Guys.
In this recent hot weather is it possable to open all the windows from the "ignition key plastic thing" on my W211 E320 CDI 2004 like I used to be able to do on my old Mondeo.
I have looked in the Handbook and can not find any info, my son reckoned he had managed to do it on one occasion, but when he tried to demonstrate it to me - guess what, it would not work.

You have to be pretty close to the door handle .......well I do in my car

There is a possibility that the IR receiver at the door handle needs to be fixed first.

Perhaps the OP did not take into account that this works via IR and, unlike when opening doors, one has to point the key towards the IR receiver at the door.

On mine, you have to press it once to unlock and then press again and hold whilst pointing at the drivers door handle (with the key!)

Remember that the sensor is only located on the driver's door handle and you need to be in a line-of-sight to activate it as it is via an infrared beam rather then a "wireless" system.
