AUX problems

hi guys,
so since ive owned the c63 w204 in the glove box theres that AUX port with 1 lead, I've tried to connect all types of things phones, ipads, ipods is it meant to charge whilst its connected, in fact it doesnt even play music through stereo? I've gone into the command unit and clicked AUX but nothing happens, if not then whats the purpose. how do i fix it?

Is it a round 3.5mm socket ? If so, its just an AUX audio input.

If its an OBLONG connector, it is the Media Interface. Select Media interface from Audio menu

hi richard, its an OBLONG connector, can i connect anything even a iphone to his function?

There are various leads that plug in there. Yes you can plug in an iPhone or iPod into the iPhone/iPod connector lead.
Older leads won't charge the iPhone/iPod - new leads do
