B class
I have had a lot of problems sourcing the right wiper blades for my W205 65 plate B class.. Finally got some and for the love of .... I've followed every video on the web - but I cannot seem to get that slide to "move" so I can pop the new ones in...
I've tried lifting/ altering the angles - everything - I've searched and tried to be self sufficient..
Its such a simple Muppet task (I've done it once before) but I cannot seem to get either to flipping move
Any advice for a muppet!
Thanks

The slide may be jammed/etc - have you put on some non-slip gloves, even your winter gloves and then hold and pull the slide grip? I've found wearing gloves gives me a better grip. Possible lightly tap the sleeve as well with back of a screwdriver handle may do the trick along with gloves 0 so slide back the sleeve and wirggle out the wiper blade. (the car I looked at was an 18 plate)
NB. When I changed my rear wiper on by gle - I got it off easily enough and felt like a muppet when I could not refit it - it looked the same, almost the same so I went back inside, sat down and compared the new with old - they'd given me the wrong wiper - I know in your case you are trying to change the wipe ie take it off so try as I mentioned above. and may be a more commanding positon over the wipper get a small footstool, it all helps.

We dont know what modelo of car you have you have no information in your profile .So many B class models. - Easy for those who cant do this . Pop in to your nearest Halfords, and pick a pair up .And they will also fit them for you, if you ask . I thought i knew all about cars till it came to changing them on my W124 ...i had so many goes to fit them . But no way would they fit ..Even told the seller at the time, they were the wrong ones for my car. But i did fathom it out in the end - I can fit them in my sleep now lol good luck .

A W205 isn’t a B Class. Given the year you mention it’s a W246. Assuming the front wiper blades, there is nothing to slide. You squeeze the tabs together and rotate the blade to unhook it from the arm. Reverse the process to fit the new one.

The later W246 B-class did have the 'slider' type fitting, however, I don't know when it was introduced. Whatever it has, the method should be in the handbook.

We have one of the last and it confused me for a while, however, once I'd removed the passenger side with a decent pull on the slider, which confirmed the method, I pulled the driver's side off, which didn't feel as it wanted to move, and reassembled with a slight smear of silicon grease on the sliding 'joints' to ease future removal.

The part numbers for the blades on that model (RHD) were (at that time, might be updated now):
Driver's side A246 820 2300
Passenger side A246 820 2500
