Bas esp light

Now Repaired! Faulty Lateral Acceleration Sensor. Repaired by local Independent.

I'm having the same problem on my 99' C240T. The ASR-BAS lights up after driving a variable distance. Switch the ignition off and back on, the light turns off.
The first time the light turned on was after I passed over a bad spot of road. I was driving at the time at a fast clip.

If it's the Lateral Acceleration Sensor, where can I find it on the vehicle?

Had the exact same problem up to three hours ago. Changed the BAS control module (located directly in front of the brake servo), problem sorted.
