Hi all. In order to try switching off the electronic driver interference ...er... I mean electronic driver aids, I pulled fuse no 11 under the rear seat (while engine was off). This controls the ESP/BAS/ABS systems.
When I turned the car on I was warned on the dash that these systems had gone into fault, which I would expect. I thought 'ok so that's the right fuse'.
I turned it all off again and replaced the fuse but upon restarting I had an ABS and BAS warning on the dash. I did some research on here and it was suggested that turning the steering wheel all the way (so that it would find the centre) and driving some distance would cure it. I did this and the ABS light went off (and I can confirm ABS is working ok).
But the BAS warning is still showing. Can I reset this myself of does it need to go to the dreaded dealer?
Thanks.
PS this brings up another thought, is it possible to have an independent garage replace something or disconnect the battery (I'm soon upgrading the stereo which will need the battery disconnected for example) without these issues occurring??
