Hi
I have a late 2010 C250.

Can i install the Becker Map Pilot? and does anyone know how i find out if it is prewired to take the Becker Map Pilot.

I've got a feeling the prewiring was not put in untll 2011.

Thanks In Advance

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum, have you tried asking an mb dealer?,sorry to hi-jack your thread but a friend is looking to buy a late 2010 c250cgi like yours, what sort of mpg do you average over a tank(assuming you have the 5 speed autobox),has the car lived up to your expectations so far?

Only had it a week so cant tell really. Going on the trip computer it states about 30mpg around town.

Lovely drive though.

Open the glove box, in the top right hand corner there will be a "slot" that will accept a unit about the size of a ciggie packet. If it's there you have Map Pilot prewire.

If it's not, you need Nav 20 (previously called UMI).

Assuming it is a UK spec car (not Ireland) if your car was built when Becker Map Pilot was an option then it came with pre-wiring for the Becker as standard.

For cars like yours built before Becker Map Pilot was available the Navigation 20 was the optional Sat Nav add on for Audio 20. Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: COMAND, Navigation & Audio Units :: Navigation 20 system for new C class & GLK

Sorry but are you saying mine does not have the pre wiring for the Becker module?

In which case the only option would be the Command unit and at the price of one off thoese i'll stick with my Tom Tom.

Thanks
Tony

Thats not bad Tony(once you've had it a while the mpg should go up a bit),thanks anyway & good luck with the car.
