I just took delivery of my new E300 blue tech hybrid and I am finding the Becker sat nav very confusing as it will not allow me to enter a full post code once I have entered the first part of the post code it jumps to asking me the name of the street but I might not always know the street name. Can anyone help.

I have becker in my c class. I have also done an update on it to accept full postcode.
But im sorry to say that even if you have input the full postcode it will still ask you for the street name.
Which to me is crazy. I have a tom tom in my van and as soon as i put in the full postcode i get the street i need.

full 7 digit postcodes can easily be inputted, but it's a bit strange - enter first 5 digits, hit `back' button and enter 6th, back button again to enter final digit.

Since i carried out an update on mine i no longer have to push the back button after entering the 5th digit. You can just enter the rest.

EDIT: In fact you don't, I've just been out to the car to check!
Ignore it offering the street name box, just scroll down to "start guidance" when you've inputted the postcode, and it calculates the route straight away.
And IIRC, if you do the update within 45 days of getting the Map Pilot, it's free

To be honest have never tried that. Will have to try that next time im in it.
