Behold the beauty of the W220!

I spent some time cleaning my car today and stood back to admire my efforts. After washing off several weeks of muck and grime it occurred to me just what a fantastic looking car the W220 SClass is.

So proud of it I thought I would share some piccys!

The W220 is a very beautiful and elegant design, it's by far the best looking s-class I have owned.

I will get a W221 at some point and even though that is a lot of car and another step forward in functional terms, I prefer the looks of the W220.

I test drove a W221 yesterday, very nice.

Just cant get on with the design at the rear though it lacks the fluid lines of the W220..

Once your inside though its a lovely car to drive.

The W220 is my favourite also, being a lot more elegant than the W221, although the 221 does have more "road presence" ultimately.

Watched "Custom my Ride" last night, featuring a W221 (S550 I think) turned into a 2 door coupe! Very slick job, looking much like a larger CL. Did anyone else see it?

I did that recently, stood back after giving the car a good clean and thought, 'that is a really nice looking car'. I think that it will age well. I actually prefer the W220 interior compared to the newer version, it feels far more light and airy. Every time I look at the new one I just get 7 Series, especially the interior .

Actually I sat in the new CL at a MB dealer last week and noticed that the steering wheel and pedals were off set a little, not 911 off set, but noticeable. Is the new S class the same? The 220 has the steering wheel and pedals perfectly aligned.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not sure about the build integrity either as they had to cut the roof and B pillars off, fabricate a new roof and then cut and shut the doors!!! Dread to think what would happen in an accident!!

The geezer who ordered the car wanted a larger coupe than either CL or CLS! Hmmm....

Also, what would you insure or tax the car as once it's been pimped??
