Dear God - £272 for 2 nights in a Premier Inn? For us (with fuel from Preston, meals, drinks etc.) we would be talking at least £400. I'd love to attend but not sure have that to spare

(Not a complaint about where it is BTW before somebody jumps on me. It is where it is and were it 'oop 'north, a corresponding number of people would have the same issue)

I'm guessing that the price has gone up so much at the Premier Inn because a number of us have already booked a room. I'm just staying for the Friday night and it cost me £90. Maybe you can find something else nearby?

I was going to ask if that was an euphemism, but someone on here will think that's also an instrument!

This is always on the same weekend as our local charity show Stirling District Classic Car Club (SDCCC) which I'm a member of so cannot make it.

Pity as I'd love to bring the E55 down.

Just a heads up to anyone who will be making use of the A3 from M25. There is ongoing works at this junction and the traffic can be an absolute nightmare. So my advice is to find alternative routes

You can use the M3 or cut through Woking or Guildford to get back to the A3.

Traffic around that bit of the M25 is always a PITA, but agreed it 's a total clusterfudge at the moment with the roadworks.
