My W219 has a bluetooth option in the menu and funnily enough detects my phone. Unfortunately it connects for 1 second then disconnects.

Apparently this is because I need the cradle, which makes sense overall but confused how the car scans and identifies my phone without it? I can only assume there is some baseline bluetooth functionality but not fully until a cradle is inserted.

Now for my Q! What is the correct cradle to buy? Do they all fit/work if I just search "Mercedes Bluetooth Cradle" on eBay?

You need to buy a Viseeo :)

Speak to @richard or @Alfie about what will be suitable. Some allow music streaming, some only calls.

Plenty for sale, but they demand a premium as they are no longer manufactured. Best wait for one to turn up for sale on the forum.

I would love one that allows streaming - did not even know that was possible!

Would the HFP Bluetooth Adaptor do the job for just calls?

I believe so , but check with Comand online first.
I've seen a few people buy the wrong thing on recommendations and it turns out they weren't suitable.

Yep, seen them on eBay. Will look into it a bit more before making a firm decision.

I had a HFP one in my CLS, worked brilliantly. Expect to pay around £100-£130 used, from the bay of dreams.
