Just joined this forum after purchasing an old A140 Avantgarde (2001 model) which needs a bit of working doing on it.
I've visited several forum and picked up some great advise on many things but the one thing I can't find answered anywhere is how to adjust the bonnet on an A-class.
The bonnet sits slightly proud of the wings when it is shut. Adjusting the rubber things (I've only played with the front 2), has a negative impact in that the bonnet still shuts slightly proud but as its not resting on the rubber things now, there is some 'play' between the bonnet and the slam panel.
I think the catch needs to be adjusted but I'm not sure how. On other cars, there's normally a striker / spring set up but this car doesn't have that.
Any help / ideas appreciated.
