Bonnet handle snapped

Does anyone know how to open a bonnet without a handle? I tried to open my bonnet today but the handle snapped somehow and now I can't get my bonnet open again......

....and a couple of days ago for some reason the driver windscreen wiper side appears to be making a quiet ticking noise every time it is on, any ideas what's causing it? It's not dirt on the rubber causing it.

Use a pair of plires on the cable and pull hard and sharp.

Do you have somthing caught in the wiper mech?

ah scrap that, i managed to get it open with a metal wire coat hanger, had to make a hook and slot it in the grill to get it open, hooked it around the bonnet hook and pulled the lever open

the plastic handle snapped off, it was the metal hook on the bonet keeping it locked

is there anywhere i can get a replacement with easy to follow instructions to fit? if its too complicated then i might have to take it to a local garage

It is very simple to fit. Just by one at the dealer and slot it on. PS don't lift the whole weight of the bonnet with the handle. It will snap.

cable tie sorted mine until i bought a new handle.
