Boot interior panels

Hi all,

What is the technical name for the "cladding", "lining" or "carpet" panels that line the inside of the boot?

My car went into the garage with all the panels in place and came out with one missing and I need the vocabulary to complain.

Boot trim panel. Either left or right side.

It's actually the underside of the top of the boot, as in this picture.

Btw, anyone know why they would take this panel off for access to diagnose a warning about "pre safe" not operational

Sorry I don't know ; maybe to access some electronic module somewhere in the boot ?

Might help others to comment if you tell us year and model of car .

If it went in with the trim panel and came back without , the garage should replace it .

Trouble might be if they argue or deny it - how do you prove it ?

Yes, sorry about that, I got confused (I was watching Eurovision whist posting)

Anyway, the upshot is that there is no panel here.
