Does anyone know if a template / measuring guide exists for the correct positioning of the lettering on the boot lid of Mercedes cars?

I need to attach the lettering to the boot lid on my 2004 S320 CDI.

I just got some masking tape and marked them out on that till I was happy with the spacing, then stuck the masking on my car and used the masking as a template to fix my badges on
I changed mine for black ones

there are templates available, but not worth the money!

I would go to your local mb garage armed with masking tape and mark up the spacings from a similar model.

fyi bennyboy - your spacing between the letters is too close :)

I think Mercedes have closed the spacing between the numbers recently. I have seen loads of new C classes where the numbers are quite close together.

I would do as ALPS has suggested and visit a local MB dealer. A camera phone can work wonders in these situations. Don't forget it is not always an exact science as these badges get removed and replaced for all sorts of reasons. The only person who is likely to notice any slight imperfection is you ;ˆ)

Just ask someone with a W220 To measure for you.

I have done it for a number of members over the years.
