Does anyone know of a model from which the bootlid badge is smaller and would fit a 95 w124 coupe.

Went to the stealer the other day and the guy said that all the badges have a slight curve to them so only the original one would fit.

Problem is that I dont particularly like the huge badge I have at the present moment....

I bought one for a W202 model , which is smaller, but the three pins which fix into the holes are too close so will not fit...

Is there a model with the same width pins as the W124 but smaller and not curved ??

...guess I'm not asking for much eh...? :-)

The badges are only smaller on the newer generation Mercs (but they do not have pins and are stuck on with a bit of adhesive/glue). As far as I know the pin hole badges on some of the previous generation Mercs (early to mid nineties) are of a "bigger" size.

Personally, I like the clean debadged look for that "clean and stealth look" and using the element of surprise on people. It can be fun at times. However, your main concern is probably filling the pin holes for the badge. Which a body shop can easily do.

You need to check out the size of the badges on things like the Vito etc, they should be flat, self-adhesive and quite large.

I can get you the part number for the HUGE star from the front of the Actros if you want, that'd prolly make nice wheel trims for a smart :D
