Has anyone had their rear brake pipes replaced on a W202. I understand that they run up and over the fuel tank and this has to be removed to get at them. Sounds expensive

My car had an "advise" on it's last MOT so I need to get them done.

Lightly sand paper them to see if the rust has eaten into the pipes, if you have rust hole pits that do not sand out, then replacement must be done, if they clean up with sanding lightly then coat them in waxoil and that will hold them at bay

Yes the tank needs to come off to replace them

i had mine done in july to pass the mot. cost £40 from MB for the flexi pipes. had to drop part of the exhaust as the rust caused problems
