Brake recommendation

Ok so this is not for a Merc but always good opinions on here.

I need to change the front discs and pads on a new shape Polo tdi. The VW stealer wants £125 altogether for the parts. I dont want to buy cheap parts but wondered if there are any recommendations of a particular manufacturer that may be better quality and probably cheaper then the VW price?

For alternatives look at Mintex or EBC. Any local garage would be able to fit them. You will probably even be able to pick up the genuine VW parts cheaper brand new on ebay.
