Come someone tell me how these are fixed on, as one has had a dodgy spray over some scratches and would like to refurb it over the Xmas break

They just clip in but you might not be able to get them off without removing the bumper first.

Item 225 and 190 are a one shot fix. DM says that you may have to remove the bumper. I will say that you DO have to remove the bumper if you wish to prevent damage. There are clips that point in opposite directions on the insert ends plus one shot clips along the top which makes them nigh on impossible to remove in situ.

DM - do you have a pic of the back bumper, as that is where the damage is.

Managed to remove the inserts without removing the bumper. Working from the centre of the bumper, I prised the end of the insert up and the first of the plastic fixings popped out. Then with a very small thin blade screwdriver I unclipped the corosponding fixing from the bottom.
Then it was just a case of working out where the next pair were and unclipping them. after 10mins the insert was off and the chrome finisher was removed. :D

Now in the process of repairing and priming - siting on top of raidiator to cure the primer so that I can rub down ready for the top colour. :)

Went to Halfords and they mixed up the paint I need into a spray can.

Any chance of you posting some photos once you have done it?

What pics do you want and I'll sort it.

Put on 1st top coat :( needed to get things a little warmer so the paint would flash off quicker - out came heat gun to warm the moulding up a bit.
It's now sitting in the airing cupboard curing

Next will be a rub over with 1200 wet&dry and soapy water to remove a couple of blemishes before several coats of laquer.

Mark a pic of the raea of the trim piece you have removed would be good save me removing the bumper to fit the reverse sensors:)
