Well a lovely Sunday morning here so up early cleaned the CLK and thought time for a blast in the Yorkshire Dales as SWMBO ans JSWMBO are at a show this afternoon. Car looking all shiny and sparkly, even cleaned the interior with leather cleaner, been on it just short of 3 hours.
Fire it up and engine cuts, go for restart splutters but nothing, open door to investigate to be met by a river of Petrol flowing down the drive from the back of the car, bit of quick thinking and manage to get a clamp on the fuel line from the tank stopping the torrent of fuel. Further investigation reveals hole blown in outlet hose of fuel pump

To do repair this on my drive is going to be a bit risky because of the steepness of the drive, so now I'm faced with towing the car to a pals garage 15 miles away to borrow a ramp or tow it to my local garage who does specialise in German and French cars and have a good reputation and let them do it.
Decisions decisions on one hand if I do it myself I know it's done correct but on the other can a garage really make a mess of changing one fuel line?
Hassle I could well do without, so guess I'll get stuck into the garden instead as no chance of sorting anything on a Sunday
