Fitted a Bury hands free kit the other weel and I'm really pleased with it so thought I would report on it.

I went for the Parrot kit first, the new MKi9200, but the sound was awful and it uses the amps in the bluetooth kit for everything, taking over from the radio, and they sound awful so it had to go.

This Bury kit is nice and neat, it switches to a dim black background with a choice of colours at night, and the voice control is spot on.

When you set it up you spend a minute repeating phrases so it recognises your accent, then after that one press of the voice button followed by the command is all you need.

The sound quality is very good, from both ends, it looks neat in the car and overall a very nice package.
It will even read out new SMS messages which is really handy.

Anyone looking for a kit should consider this.

But did you get a ticket for parking like that? :)

Russ

I get a ticket nearly every day. Norfolk County Council have decided to turn all our residents parking into 30-60 minute zones and give us all permits.
However......the zones came in last summer and the permits are not being issued until 2011 at the earliest.

So we have no parking at all now!

So whether I leave it in the bay, on singles or on doubles it makes no difference, I'm buggered either way.

Just sent the cheque off for this weeks 2 tickets.

I have managed to hire a garage from Jan for one car, but it is costing me £180 a month and I can't actually fit the Merc in it and close the door, but better than getting tickets non stop. :(

gizzie, how much was that ? supply/fit ... was thinking for phone-prewire but its way too expensive and need it as i drive a lot ...maybe u`ll tell me where as well. Thanks

I paid £109 off ebay.

As the you may need a harness depending on your car year, for around £30 to make it plug and play.

I did it myself, was dead easy, only took 20 minutes.

Just picked one up off Ebay for £78. All the others on there are currently £130+

That's what it said in the ad, and I'd done a search for bury 9060.

It had been fitted then shortly removed as car sold.

Black.

got it tuesday and within 45mins it was installed and up and running :bannana:

It's the best bluetooth kit I have ever used. The voice control is amazing as it automatically recognises the entries in the phone book so no setting up voice tags.

I've stuck it next to the alarm overide switch and the mic above my left knee where the panel under the sterring wheel is - no problems and pics up my voice easily.

As anyone tried to play mp3 track over this bury device? reason I ask is I am taking delivery of a Volvo T5 this week and need a hands free kit would also like to integrate this with mp3 playback. I currently have the parrot in my Subaru and agree call qualiy is shocking and why they use a puny 20w amp for everything puzzles me. Would like the next solution to be more elegant so anymore fedback on the 9060 would be appreciated

Help needed

I have just had a Bury 9060 unit fitted but the microphone does not seem to pick up though I can receive incoming calls. Is there any special settings needed for my phone? hope you may be able to help.

Make sure thta it's been plugged into the correct socket on the controller box, as the speaker socket is the same.

does anyone know if there are any kits that can accept more than one phone at a time? My plantronics headset does it perfectly but no hard wired kits seem to do it...

Both My Bury Kits do, one is a a 9060 and can take up to three phones I think the other is a take and talk with the bluetooth adapter.

Has anyone tried streaming music on this yet using the A2DP profile? Also does anyone pnow if it is compatible with the Palm Treo range of phones?

I want to buy one but can't confirm the above, even Bury have had to say they will get back to me on phone compatibility so just wondered if anyone has tried it?

If you are anywhere near sheffield this week, you can always see if it'll work with my 9060
