C Class Interior Courtesy Light Lens

I have a crack in the drivers side interior courtesy light lens in my C220 Coupe (12)It is the one in the centre in front of the mirror, not above the sun visor. just been to my local dealer who have informed me that I would need to buy the whole unit as the lens isn't available separately. Surely this can't be right. If one was changing an interior bulb and you happened to crack a lens, £270 please sir!! Can anybody clarify this for me please?

Perhaps get one from a breakers?

For a car that new? Probably rarer than hens teeth?

BTW, how did the lens get cracked? Any chance of getting the unit replaced under warranty?

No idea, bought it a month ago (ex-demo) and only just spotted it. No one would ever know it was there, but it bugs the hell out of me!!

I know what you mean. Once spotted it screams at you.

Why not try the dealer for a warranty/goodwill replacement? Got to be worth a shot?
