This is a bit of an odd question, I know, but will a '124 coupe rear bumper fit into the interior, without damaging it, for transportation. ie. the driver's seat and possibly one passenger seat will be occupied.
I've got to pick up a Carat Duchatelet bumper I bought on ebay, and haven't been able to pick it up yet - I can't keep the chap hanging on forever :o
I did measure up, it appeared as though it wouldn't fit.
With hind sight, I should have just asked on here first! LOL

Many thanks,

Darren

well my SEC AMG bumper fit into a Toyota Camry with the driver seat down and the bumper sitting on the parcel shelf and a bit on the front dash!

Id say a deffo yes.

When I bought the facelift kit off Shude I had front and rear bumpers + 2x side skirts in my W202.

A C124 interior must be around the same size as the interior of a W202?

Easier aswell I would have though, having no rear door frames and pillarless windows down?

you may think about ditching the passenger though as it will need to go in length ways

Yes, from the front passenger seat & hooked around behind the driver.

Should be plenty of room.

Last year I also managed to fit a double-bed matress into my W202!

The good thing about the coupes is the lack of door pillars. I think it will fit but I wouldn't want to be the passenger.

Could you not use a van like the rest of us in our youth;) ;)

by the way ensure the bumper is wrapped up with bubblewrap etc, there are some sharp edges that will shred your interior!

Tuck it so that it runs along one side with the short bits sitting on the dash and parcel shelf ....

That way the passenger can still sit in there he will just have bumper running past his left shoulder ....

I did give that a thought, but having the bumper the other way, rest through the centre of the two front seats. But would the depth of the bumper mean it wouldn't fit? I'm think of the space between the front screen and dash, and the parcel shelf and rear screen (as they have a shallow angle).....I hope that makes some sense :o

Just recline the passenger front seat until it is flat and it should fit in...but I doubt that your passenger will.
