I'm not quite sure how to describe the rear side panels of a coupe's interior, hence "door" cards in the title.

My 124 coupe's rear door cards have warped enough to loosen the seat belt feeder's surround, so it now comes away quite regularly.

I've been advised replacement is the better way forwards, after a failed attempt to glue the surround in place.

I have a mushroom-coloured leather interior, so does anyone know where I can pick up said items? Are they still available from Mercedes?

Because my description isn't that clear, I've attached a photo circling the problematic seat belt feeder surround and one of the two rear trim peices I wish to replace :)

Any advice is welcomed.
Many thanks in advance,

Darren

are those your cards? or is that just for illustration?

they look ok?

They look very fresh which i was wondering what was wrong with them!

I have two rear quaters if its any interest to you.

these are in good condition.

Just so I can clarify, by rear quarters you mean the panel, yes?

I just noticed my square and arrow seem to imply the inner section of the car, where the arm rest is, but I meant the whole card.

And now that above has got me thinking.....is this card not one piece?

I think I've just confused myself :wallbash: :o

Yes, by rear qtr's i mean the whole panel, it comes as one piece. :thumb:

I have the same problem, the interior rear panels up by where the seat belt presenter is, is so badly mishaped that I cant even get the thing to close up properly and the vinyl has pulled away. Its almost like maybe it got water damaged and swelled it. I have the same color interior in a 94 E320 coupe.

Water damage is the first thing that popped into my mind, if you take the cards off there should be a large plastic cover underneath that covers the window winder mech. This has a sealant around it's edges that seals around the body pressings - the join between the two is to be waterproof. Often the cover is removed [pain in the asre job to break the sealant] and replaced without resealing properly hence the water finds its way through to the cards....
