Hi guys,

Im pretty new to this forum, i have just bought a new c180 exec se and i was wondering if anyone had diagrams or schematics for the CGI engine 1.6. I have been searching everywhere and cannot find anything?

More interested on the set up of the turbo, bov, intercooler etc. Obvioulsly i know any conventional set up of a turbo engine but wanted to see layout space connections rather than standing over my car for hours looking at it mapping everything.

Thanks

I have the MB brochures that have a picture of the engine, but it doesn't have schematics or diagrams per say.

Can scan if you wish.

I've uploaded the scans to a gallery on my account here for you, just click on my username then Gallery. The forum resized them a lot though, so for the full hi-res version I zipped them up and upload them for you, you can download them from > https://files.secureserver.net/0sDw3KUvdK6eJ1

Yes, Torque is an app on Android/App store. I can connect my phone via bluetooth with an OBD2 bluetooth adapter (plug this into the OBD port under steering wheel) using this it monitors everything from the ecu giving you real time information.

It is a great app not only for this but you can use it for fault codes and diagnostics, which was very useful when i had my bmw. Also when my friend bought an old car with something wrong, plugged it in and number 4 cylinder was miss firing.

There is a handy track recorder that i use as a driving camera too, displays an overlay using google maps and displays speed, time, acceleration etc.

I strongly agree getting this if you are technically minded or just want to know a bit more about your car!

That sounds intriguing! Where would you find a OBD2 bluetooth adapter in the UK?

i bought one from ebay for £2.50, just type in OBD2 (OBDII) when i was researching some people said you risk buying a dud one but mine was fine and still working, and i thought its only £2.50 i have spent more on worse things! It is terrific value for money costs about £1.50 for App and 0.59 for update with Track recorder and around £2.50 for the adapter.

You are best off looking on android or app store to have a look at the Torque app 1st.

Yep that is identical. This is the one I brought http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=170966415946&index=2&nav=SEARCH&nid=26048100711
Only because UK post and feedback and warrenty if it does go wrong.

It is very simple to use just a plug and play with the app. I love it and is so easy to use.
I will try and upload screenshots when using mine. But you can completely personalise screens and displays to your liking.

Oh really?! That's unusual, you could always get a friend with an android device, might work if you have a different type of device eg android tablet.

Can someone help, I use w202 c180, recently when am caught up in traffic my temp. Rises to 110 within 10min, wat could be the cause?

Dude you have hijacked some ones thread. You would get a better response by starting your own thread. Having said that it sounds very like the viscous coupling on the engine fan has gone faulty. The fan always rotates when the engine is running but not enough to really cool the engine as its sort of " idling" When the radiator/engine gets hot it should directly couple up the fan to provide more cooling- it sounds as if this is not happening.

Any new developments on the tuning front? I know there are a lot of plug and play tuning boxes. I am yet to see any replacement intercooler and bov's?? Can anyone help?
