Hi Folks
I'm in a bit of a fix here. A screw has come out of the frame for the front heated driver's seat, and can I get it back in? NO :fail
There is a black bar which goes underneat the front and this is attached to the pull lever to adjust the seat backwards and forwards. On the opposite side to where this lever is, the bar is secured to the frame just behind the plastic bits which adjust the seat up and down and tilt. There is also a grey metal bit that also has a hole in it, and this goes between the hole in the black bar and the hole in the frame. This has a serated edge on it which should fit into the mechanism for the tilt mechanism on that funny shaped know in front to the height adjuster. It is the screw which goes through the black bar, the grey plate, and into the frame which has come off, and I just can't get the holes aligned to get the screw back in. I've even taken the seat out to get better access, but it's being a pig and I hate it.
The problem is - I have a 1500 mile journey to make on Saturday morning, and I really don't want to be driving as if I'm on a rocking horse for 24 hours.
Does anyone know how to get this screw back in? If it involves removing the plastic covers, knobs, levers, springs, or anything else, please give very simple instructions which an idiot would be able to follow - I'm not an idiot, but sometimes I feel like one when trying to work on these beasts![Doh  ](/styles/mbclub/smilies/doh.gif)
