C220CDI (203) Service Cost

HI guys ,

My dash has come up telling me i need a B service in 600 miles any idea what this is going to cost me the car is currently on 14,500miles. Another query this is the first service and should it not be a A service first? As I was under the impression that a B service was a major one or am I wrong?

Quite normal for the modern CDI's mate.

Mine is now due at 17400 miles and that is a first B service. I understand from other owners that the next service will be in another 10000 miles and will be an A.

Cost of a B is about £400.

guess i completly under-estimated that one then! i must have been in cloud cookoo land expecting a bill for about £150ish!
Oh well they joys of owing a Mercedes benz!

As you probably know by my sig im going to be getting a CLK most likley a 320, is it worth considering a service contract or is it just another way of being ripped off?
