Hi,
I've read Brian A's probs with his C220 taking in air, wondering if my symptoms are linked, '96 W202 2.2 Auto Diesel continued running for a second or two when turned off and the key was taken out. Did this twice. Then as well as the over-running started stalling 2-3 secs after starting engine, re-starts immediately from then on no probs until turned off again. No rough running or any other different characteristics.
Haynes says Solenoid Stop Valve but reading the other posts mine may be on a vacuum. I haven't looked for air but no symtoms of that problem yet!
Other then checking the fuel lines for air any other ideas.
Whilst investigating the engine when I got it i took the top plastic cover off after exposing the top of the engine, there was 3 or 4 "dishes" with pipes in them, bleed pipes?, the dishes were almost full of diesel, is this right?
Thanks
Ellis
