I picked my 1998 C250td (77,000miles) up the other day.
All seemed to go well on the drive home .
Then I thought it was being a bit sluggish (might be me ).
When I took the car on the first test drive I was sure that when I revved the engine (in neutral) with the car stood still that I could hear the turbo spin up (whistle). It doesn't seem to do that anymore .
It still feels like the turbo kicks in when the car is driven most of the time with the occasional bit of sluggishness.
Any ideas what might (or might not ) be wrong with it?
I don’t really want to drive back to the garage (quite a distance from where I live, for them to thrash it down the road and declare it all ok ) unless I am sure there is something wrong.
I know I can check the boost pressure with a pressure gauge but cant seem to find any figures.
Thanks
Paul
