Which generation of CDI are you talking about when you say they have problems?

Early generation which run from around 00-03 seem to have teething problems 03 on wards seemed ok bout 06 the 2nd generation came out and seem quite realiable now 09 onwards theres a new style CDI engine.
The V6s tho have remained preety much the same all way thru its production.
This is from my commercial exprience cars may vary but vans and cars share preety much the same engines, obviously there differences in the attachments to engines but the basic lump is almost if not the same.

problem sorted ..... fuel pressure regulator letting fuel past when closed
