C32 on reduced power

Neil have You noticed anything different with the car after changing them? I can't see in my service history of these filters being changed.

Hi starky, being honest i couldn't notice a huge difference! Maybe a little more responsive low down throttle but in a car with the power these have out the box you'd need the pulleys/map you were investigating to have a noticeable difference.

Thanks Neil. Slightly of the subject, I poped into Multie tech on Saturday and had a good chat with Barry, he comes across as a top bloke. I had a look at some of the cars in the workshop and they look great. I should hopefully be taking the car there soon for some work just as soon as iv saved some more pennys.

OT i know but...

marty359 is worth dropping aline to if you are thinking of upgrading your C32. he's got exhaust and pulley/re-map upgrades on this car....

Hi starky that's great. Mines going back this weekend for a little bit of tlc as the repairs made the rest of the car look shabby lol!

I saw some pics the car looks good. What's tics?

Ha! Ha! I read the post wrong. I've got a full phone case cover and the kids have made it all grubby, which made the L look like a I. Doh.

I thought tic was some new weld!

Just out of curiosity what do you guys think the potential power drop could be for old filters and plugs? My last car was dynoed before and after it had been serviced and there was a 20hp increase....admittedly not the same day but was the same dyno....

Neil I think you should ask the same question as a new thread I think you will get a better response:thumb: . Good question thou I would like to the answer as I'm having my plugs changed on saterday.

Hi starky...i just have lol....and your not going to even try changing 12 plugs are you.....i did...cut my hands to bits and managed one before i got fed up lol

No way! I'm taking it to pcs. I don't like tinkering about with the car, I have done in the past and only made things worse. :D

Not sure if the op got this fixed but iirc the relay that controls the ic pump can play up. Normally they stick on and cause premature failure of the pump but i guess it could also fail to operate causing the iat to rise. Just a thought.
