Just had A service on C350CDI Sport at Tony Purslow. Have a full service lease so I don't pay but checked what the cost would have been as I doubt that I will be lucky enough in the future to have servicing included. I was a bit shocked that it would have cost me £344! They said the oil is £144, but I have checked and I can buy it. For about £90. I I only an oil service. I would expect a non prestige arquebus to be about £180 all in.

Even if i provide the oil, it is still £200 for the rest which if I were paying I would choke a bit. I never believe in paying someone more per hour to service my car than I could charge for my services!

Sounds expensive if there were no extras in addition to oil and filter change.

Sent from my iPad using MBClub UK

...which is probably about the price that the leasing company paid.

You could get the oil from Costco for around £50 for 8 litres.

Daughter's VW was recently serviced on their service scheme and the dealer gave me a copy of the invoice they send to VW UK - £68 inc parts, labour & VAT.

Just had my C350 done for £250 fixed price. Started at £295 but negotiate £250. A lot for what is basically an oil change but yours seems high.

Mine was fixed at £199 last year by MB Nottingham.

Is this a main dealer or indy? sounds cheap. I'm looking for an alternative to Lincoln Merc £360 for a B service (bit steep)

How old is the car and how many miles has it done?

My dealer is Inchcape owned too and they'll negotiate prices, and they intimated that they'd match local indie pricing too although I've never tested that.

I wouldn't be happy paying more than £300 for a B Service and if there's other work as well (brake fluid normally coincides with each B service) then you should be able agree a price for the whole job.
