C43 amg power loss issue

Hi all a friends c43 has the following problem - Whilst driving at low revs the car drives fine, once the accelerator is pressed the revs rise the car makes a slight humming type noise but does not pick up speed as it should it feels as something is holding the car back from accelerating.

Any ideas ?

Is it the sc 43? Is it boosting?

Sounds like clutches slipping, which is what these tend to suffer from. Might be a rebuild. Worth checking fluid etc first and getting codes read.

If it's the "friends" supercharged one then this is one effect of that extra power, extra strain on the box...
