If I was asking that sort of money, I would:
a) make sure I knew what year the car was built (I thought it was a late 96', but VIN decodes as a Jan 97 build)
b) spend £20 on a replacement front cover over the camshaft advance unit.

That looks a nice useable C43, makes a change from the usual Silver. Bits of body corrosion in the usual places. Looks to have the welding done in 2018 and some advisories since. bit of rattle can black going on under there. Secondary cats removed, so should sound nicer too.
Shame about the acme bolts holding the skirts on.

Edit to add, I think it will end up around £8500.

Having watched AMGs for about a year on Autotrader this is worth about 8k if in reasonable order / service history etc - will be curious to see what an auction brings... a lot more is my guess (and then the seller pulling out as they usually do!)
What did it go for on Car & Classic ??????
