Nice job on the retrofit I did this mod too last year. The ballasts do not mount in the engine bay. The drivers side one mounts under the headlight on the leg you will notice 2 threaded holes. The passenger side one goes behind the plastic fender lining. You will needto drill 2 holes into the chasis for this. There are some WIS instructions highlighting these points exactly.

Thx I fitted mine in engine bay I'll take pictures tomorrow to show were

I got them alined tonight they are different

I also fitted folding mirrors yesterday
With stock carbon trim and switch looks like it came from factory

So a few option added this week now next week I might fit c43 brake callipers and discs

I now also now want to change my fog light bulbs as they look odd since hid s fitted

when i fitted mine the ballasts were from an Audi TT so the cables were shorter than the MB ones, i ended up mounting mine in the engine bay, no issues for the 3-4 years that i had the car and they still should be fine.

Hi yes I have the wipers on the headlights

But I had a problem I did not have the harness for the self levelling actuator so I removed them and put in my manual ones that I control from dash in car

I would love to fit harness and sensors for self leaving

As for the Mtec bulbs I have this can I take them from this car and use in w202 the BMW in 5 pic

I ended up doing just that too converting the electric adjusters to the vacum adjusters. Dont forget to complete the mod with 2 xenon warning stickers to be stuck on the slam panel above each headlight.

Part number: A2048173420

my headlights have them fitted on they so i wont need to buy the stickers thx for the part number

can the self leveling electric modules be fitted and how to i would love to know

I retro fitted the auto levelling to my C43 the loom is unavailable from MB I salvaged mine from a scrap 43 together with two suspension sensors, and ECU, I was dreading fitting the loom but to be honest it was quite easy, the hardest part was fitting the brackets on the suspension though in retro spect it was,nt hard took about two hours to fit the suspension sensors and route their cables into the car. Their is a WIS work Instruction specifically on fitting the levelling loom and another for the suspension sensors, you could salvage the loom from a 210 or 208 equipped with Xenons as i don,t see any reason why they would be substantially different, in the case of the 208 one I would think they were the same as a 202.

i was thinking the same the w208 0r w210 with the xenon fitted would be the same as the w202 as they share a lot of parts

but that option is rare on irish cars as they would have cost a fortune in the 90s in ireland
