C43 on 18" Styling 2's with H&R springs

On all corners I have 18"x8" rims with 225/40/18 Toyo T1S tyres. Should I get an original MB spring from a sports model or a H&R set? Thanks for your help.

Will they give a harsher ride than original MB spring from a sports model or a H&R set? Still want to keep it as smooth as possible.

Not sure really, I think the C43 has a slightly different track than other c classes. The problems I am experiencing may not apply to you......

Just for the record the ride on the H&Rs I have is first class, very smooth, and the handlings top notch also

Sounds wicked mate!! Where can I order them from for cheap? :)

German ebay! there is no-where cheap to get H&R`s.

Mambo fyi - previously to this weekend I had Pirelli P-zero rosso`s on the front of my car ( hardly any rubbing).

Ive now put a pair of Michilin Pilots on the front - rubbing pretty bad on turns

just proves the make of tyres does matter!

By the way re-furbed all 4 wheels as well! nice and shiny all round for the TRAX!!

Cool, thanks for the info! Looks like I will be investing in some Pirellis!

See how I get on with mine later. First of the modifications. Putting the 18"s on th C43. Currently running Pirelli Pzero Rosso.

v interesting, I had Michelin Pilots on my 18s and they rubbed. Never tried them with Pirellis. Might be an experiment to try.

An expensive Experiment.

Probably. I've a set of 18s in the garage with part worn Michelins, so replacing them won't be too much of a waste I suppose.

Mambo, sorry to hijack your thread again...can you please let me know where I can get an set of H&R springs from as I can't find them on ebay.co.uk or ebay.de.

Thanks in advance and my apologies for going off topic in your thread.

try elitedirect.com, they can order them for you, or A&S wheels 02085188010 Ask for Alan or Raj. I got mine from the later!

they did have to special order them in for me tho, took almost 4 weeks because they had to come from the factory.
