Peter your not alone from having issues with Brentford, I have had my fair share and so has my friend. Apparantly they painted my friends car with a wrong shade and they tried to deliver his car to him in the dark and my friend refused delivery.
He went the next day to pickup in daylight only to discover they had painted it the wrong colour. After a serious argument with one of the top managers at Brentford they agreed to re-paint.

Make sure you get it in writing so that there are no issues later on when the service is due.

Yes i have a copy of the email that was sent to my contact at Brooklands to that affect.

Well the Saga has finally ended. I picked up the C43 yesterday and the headlining and pillars look great in the Alcantara. they rectified there mistakes and we are very pleased with the result.

We are glad it is all over, it's just a shame it ended in Anna's accident.

Can you get good photos? Might be difficult to appreciate as it's such a tactile (and dark) thing but would be interested to see it.

Did you get into the driver's seat and make a slight "ahhh" noise?

It depends what has been done before and what is de now. It is difficult to work outt unless I see the service book. Give me a buzz if you want.

Update on the roof lining.

It started to sag badly all over and the B and C pillars strated drooping so it looks pretty terrible.

The car is back at Brentford (again) and is being re-done (again)

I have a 204 courtesy car from them. 40+ days overdue service, knocking suspension, high level brake light does not work, rear tyres need replacing and to top it off the interior was filthy!

I hope the roof lining is sorted completely this time.

Cant believe this problem is still on going ! Hopefully they pull their socks up this time and do a proper job. With all the time gone could they have not ordered a new head lining ?
