C63 coolant

My 6700 mile eight month old C63 has a message on the display saying top up engine coolant.

Checked the bottle and level is about an inch from the top so presume it needs to be full to the top. Manual is not very clear as it shows a diagram with a marker in the coolant bottle but mine doesnt seem to have that.

Should I phone my merc dealer or just go to halfords to get some more coolant and which is the best?

I had the same problem with my 2011 c180 at 15k miles. Put in no more than an egg cup full of mb coolant and the problem has gone.

Buy only MB coolant.

Pop into your dealer to get it checked as it's under warranty. Just to be safe.

As above get MB coolant, if you do it yourself DO not fill to top it needs room to expand when hot.
An inch from the top sounds about right. May have a sensor fault

There should be marks on the side of the reservoir.
