C63 Coupe - dimming dash lights

Can't find this in the manual - is there a way to dim the dash lights / command in a C63 Coupe. They seem to be a bit bright at night. Can't find it on any of the settings.

Also I ordered Interior Light Package, what exactly is this as aside from a front/rear interior light can't really see anything. Is it footwell lights?

In any C class there is a rotary control in the instrument display. Turn it clockwise for more brightness and counter clockwise for less brightness

This will only dim the cluster lights not the digital(or whatever it is) lights. I was only thinking about this yesterday.

Very slightly off topic but should the word auto and other options light up on the surround of the rotary switch to the right of the steering column for the headlights etc. Mine don't, is this normal? Sorry if this isnt clear but I am finding it hard to explain!!

No, just the knob centre. At least that is true for most MB models..

Thank you Whitenemesis, yes only my centre lights up, a bit odd as I cant see what option it is on but if that is the way it is so be it!

There is not one on mine - I think it just automatically dims according to ambient light conditions, much like when the COMAND switches to night mode.

So where is it? Just on the edge on the binnacle?

I can dim the light by way of the little black knob but i cant dim the display.
If you can dim the display please let us know how!

No sorry, just as you say, lights only.

Had another play with this last night, I can dim the whole display.

I can dim the comand screen by way of the settings menu but can't dim the binnacle lcd
display.
