C63s Edition 1 or not

Hi all. Completely stuck on choice between the new c63 edition 1 and the standard S model. What's proving tricky is trying to decide if those red accents on the exterior, particularly the non-removable elements (wheels) are tacky and a bit naff or not? I know it is subjective but other opinions are helpful as I don't seem to be able to get to a conclusion myself!

Hey - personally, I went with the standard S because although I like the E1 on initial viewing I think the red accents would go out of fashion pretty quickly. There's also a hint of Civic type R about it! I didn't like the diamond stitching either so in the end a plain old S won it for me.

Just looked at one in silver and the standy out bits in red are not as much in your face.

Tony.

Totally agree I have the A45 and the edition 1 A45 with the red bits looks tacky too and anyone not in the know would think what has he done to that lovely looking car

It does look a bit Civic Type R.

It doesn't look aftermarket though, that's the main thing. It looks well balanced, designed, nice.

... but agreed, I don't think it suits a posh beautiful brute. Leave red stripes for the A45.

I considered it and I am not a fan of the red bits but if money was no object, i.e I thought it was worth it - I would have got the Ed1 on Polar White car.

The thing about the edition 1, apart from the red around the wheels, is the colour of the interior CF trim. It's got a dirty brown hint to it which I really didn't like. Add to that the interior patchwork quilt leather finish which, although nice now, I think isn't everyone's taste and it may prove harder to move on. It's all a bit 'Kahn' to me :(

Agree interior wasn't great either, so all in, not worth it. The stripes did remind me of the 507 which attracted me to it.

I don't like it personally. It's reasonable value spec wise, as it doesn't cost you more than an S with the equivalent spec, but I think it looks a bit much. I'm not convinced it will age well! I guess I just don't think it looks very Mercedes...more Honda or Ford
