Nearside Front Tyre has a cut in excess of the requirements deep enough to reach the ply or cords (4.1.D.1a)

Yes. Despite their pathetic power, both my Bond Minicar three-wheelers seem to eat through their front tyres (rears last for ever). When Michelins were available (weird size), they'd do up to 5,000 miles. Decent other tyres do 3,000. I tried a cheap make on a holiday to Ireland and - front tyre somewhat hidden, in the middle - didn't at first notice that it had worn to a racing slick in ... 700 miles!

Are you sure its not 54170 miles with someone trying to make out its misprint? one would expect a car with 5000 miles to be like its just come out off showroom.

Had an ST200 that ate through a set of four falcon tyres in less than 5k, the grip was excellent though, haha!

ok misread somewhere. As its now done 10,063 +Its now 9 years old so providing its not had serious damage if the price is right the reason (what ever it may be that the tyres pretty low) back then would not concern me as most likely cause is bad wheel alignment. We had brand new c180 and it took front tires off at 10,000 mile and pulled to left all the time, took it back 3 times and they could or would not sort it they just throu excuses at us.

Maybe there was a puncture

And a second hand/used tyre was fitted?
