I've just sold my E350cdi coupe today and an now feeling lost and empty.

I have not idea what I want to get, most makes considered as long as it is <£50k, a slow depreciator, renowned for quality and sporty. The coupe met this criteria nicely.

Am thinking S5 convertible, anyone got/had one? How does it compare to my old coupe ?

I guess as I shift them fairly frequently (1 to 2 yrs) I ought to get another oil burner as these seem to be more sought after than a 3l petrol for example.

Would the same be true in convertible guise do you think? Personally I would prefer petrol, say a CGI over a CDI with the top down. If I went with my preferred option I would be worried about resale, esp as the petrol would be about two bands above the eq diesel.

Will keep looking at this forum now. It is very informative (well most of the time !)

Wow Paul, this is a surprise!?
I remember you got your 350 similar time as I did, nov/dec 09 and you've sold it already? Though you was going to keep it for a good couple of years, what happened did you get fed up of the noise/delays and updates?

Did you sell privately? I spoke to my dealer last week to see what they would offer and it was pretty dire considering all the equipment it has so would be interested on what you sold yours at? (pm if you want?). I am not in any rush to sell unless the price is right and would keep for another couple of years if they sorted the noise and mpg out.

I guess the only downside now to buying new now is the first year VED monster tax that came in recently, monstrous!
