Hi my car is getting its new hood today and I was wondering what the general view is on putting car covers on? We are parking it outside at the moment but we are having a car port built in a few weeks. I dont like the idea of the colder morning dew on the roof and wondered whether its recommended to cover it when parked outside, especially during winter? Ive done a bit of research and there is a huge difference in price (and presumably quality) but do you get what you pay for or will any mid price cover suffice? Any advice welcome.
Thanks
Jill

Covers can be good but as you have said there are huge price differences. Get something breathable so the moisture is not trapped under the cover with the car.

I used to use a cover in my underground car park but I found it a hassle as its best to have the car clean before you put th cover on it, otherwise you are dragging all the dirt all over the car. I just leave it now and clean it more regularly.

I'd agree with e55. Give your car a good clean and wax/ that should hold until your car port is built. I don't like covers as there is too much room for scratches and trapped moisture.

Brill, thanks for your replies.:thumb:
