Carb float level

Hi everyone

More questions for you ...

I have just pulled apart a Stromberg 175 CD carb and the Haynes manual says the float level should be 18-19mm. Does anyone know where to measure this from?

Usually it's with teh carb inverted and then measure from what is now the top of the float to the machined body of the carb.
