Right lads,

CC.... is it cubic capacity or cubic centimiters of

a. Air mass
b. fuel?

I I understand the question right, the answer is --- a and b!

Its bore x stroke x number of cylinders. Which fill up with air and fuel mixed together.

right cubic centimeters of...

Davo, so if i got a 6.3 beast what is it actually doing under there?

...for example of course!

It's the volume displaced by the pistons (in cubic centimetres) in one engine revolution.

..volume of what though air or fuel?

...volume, its just volume regardless of what its filled with. IE a 1 Litre contaniner is 1000cc of volume whether its filled with water, petrol or whatever.

right ok so what we are sayig is that what ever it is filled with be it air/fuel the more it can hold the more it can combust resulting in more power?

..i really thought it was the amount of fuel the engine can handle to combust at any one time

why is it strange?

good question no?

Size is but one variable. Not all 2 litre engines have the same output. It depends on fuel, turbocharger, supercharger etc.
