Hi-Is there a previous post, or How To, explaining the procedure for removing spark plugs on a straight six, C280?

Its pretty simple really. First remove the air intake cross pipe that runs across the engine from the Airfilter+MAFF UNITS [DRIVERS SIDE] to the inlet manifold[PASSENGER SIDE] This gives access to the ignition cover plate on the top of the broader cam cover-- its held on with a few allen head/torx screws. Once this is removed you will see all the ignition coils/ plug leads. After noting carefully their positions and the run of the cables/leads [ Take some pictures with a digital camera if you have one] work you way along the engine removing each lead/ coil and replacing the plug taking care not to cross thread it.
these might help.

PeachPartsWiki: W124 Engine Wiring Harness Replacement this deals with an earlier model that used the same engine.

be gentle with the wiring loom too.
